JOB TITLE: Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic
LOCATION: Phoenix Area
JOB TYPE: Full-time
PAY: $30.00 – $45.00 per hour
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a qualified Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role requires diagnosing and repairing breakdowns on tractor-trailers and, as needed, assisting with gas engines and light-duty vehicles. You must be comfortable handling after-hours emergency calls.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on heavy-duty trucks, trailers and other customer vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, battery checks, equipment lubrication, and more.
- Assist drivers in addressing outstanding vehicle issues and maintain clear communication.
- Accurately record time, parts used, and complete inspection checklists.
- Disassemble, inspect, replace, and fit parts for various mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, clutches, electrical/pneumatic systems, gearboxes, hydraulics, cooling systems, brakes, suspensions,
- lighting, and exhaust on a range of heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
- Work independently and, as needed, supervise or guide less experienced team members.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in heavy-duty truck/diesel engine repair.
- Proven mechanical knowledge and skills, especially with diesel engines.
- A valid driver’s license and willingness to operate a mobile workstation.
- Own set of tools.
- Ability to work independently, with strong documentation skills.
- A positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and team-oriented mindset.
Additional Desirable Skills:
- Preventative maintenance expertise
Familiarity with light-duty gas engines and emergency roadside diagnostics.

Schedule:
